Mae doesn't really have a stereotypical love song. Lots of them are sweet and filled with amazing melodies and lyrics that remind us of love, and all of the songs are magnificent of course; however, the love-related songs all have snags. They speak of previous/hopeful/new/questioning love, but never just crazy, in-the-moment love.

I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing. I'm just stating something I've noticed.

So the topic up for discussion is...
Would you want the guys to take a stab at a heart-wrenching wedding ballad for the ages, or would it feel too cliche and belittling to expect them to do such a thing?

soundtrack is pretty in the moment.
Soulcatcher
I always figured Just let Go was the closest thing they got to something like that :-P

yeah, that was one of the ones i debated on. "in the moment" may not be the best way to describe what im getting at. im really meaning a slow, doting, mushy gushy, play it at your wedding kind of song.

Neither does Killswitch Engage, Daft Punk or Lethal Bizzle; they're just not really that kind of band! Or could their new song prove me wrong?

sun & moon. '05 music is much too loud tour version. I'd spin that a wedding.

i was just thinking this last week. i'm not getting married soon, but i would SO love to have a mae song at my wedding or for a dance at the reception. the idea i came up with instead was to maybe have their lyrics displayed somehow on the program or invitations or something. i can't imagine not incorporating them into something so "me" if you know what i mean. but honestly, i don't know that i'd really want them to do a really mushy wedding type of song since that's not really them. I have to say though, the new song A Melody, The Memory has some pretty good lyrics that might be very suitable for the idea i mentioned above...I'll just have to wait for the download so I can physically read them all.
Lagoona
I love Awakening, but i don't think it would fit as a wedding song...hmm A Melody, The Memory would be nice
