Our first physical release of the year will be the limited edition rub and smell version of the (m)orning EP. The first and only place that you'll be able to get a copy will be on our spring tour! The EP features extended artwork and eight songs with a runtime of nearly 40 minutes. Check out the cover here!
I'm sure the four songs will be available for download on their site but not being able to get a hard copy unless you see them on tour is pretty disappointing. The nearest place they will be touring is in Detroit which is like 5 hours away and I just wouldn't be able to go. I'm sure many other people will feel the same way. Couldn't they just do what they did with The Everglow Anniversary DVD? Any info from Dave, Jacob, or Zach would be greatly appreciated.

I found some new info on AbsolutePunk:

here is the track listing for MAE's (m)orning EP:
Good (M)orning
The Fisherman's Song (We All Need Love)
The House That Fire Built
Boomerang
Two Birds
A Melody, The Memory
Night/Day
(M)orning Drive
-Dave
PS come pick up a copy on tour and enjoy the multi-sensory experience with us!
And more sad news for anyone who can't go. (But great news for those who can):

come find out!
jk, but seriously, come find out.
if you have seen one of our shows in the past year or so, you have seen our projection films that serve as the visual part of the multisensory aesthetic experience. this time around we will be selling custom 'mae" 3D glasses at the door for $1 and a few of the songs will actually instruct you to put them on and see the visuals in 3D. The glasses will also include a code that allows you to access an exclusive part of our website that contains music and 3D visuals.
Man, I need to talk someone into driving me all the way up to Detroit to see the show...

it sounds like the limited edition is only going to be available by their wording...this might mean they'll release it to stores but not as limited edition??? i might be wrong though. it's definately unclear. that's what it sounds like to me though.

Oh geez, somebody's straight up serious here, I might not be willing to pay as much, but I would pay some serious money for one.
So to everyone going to see them in concert, pick up a few copies. Because there's probably a bunch of people here in far, remote places *cough* NOVA SCOTIA *cough* that would never be able to get one ever that really want one.
as track two on the album says, 'we all need love'.
Just throwing that out there

Hey so since I'm on another continent - a plight not unfamiliar to a few of our more loyal posters, and I can now say I feel your Mae-related pain - I have a request to make.
If it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, could I ask someone to buy me a copy and ship it to my home in the USA? If so, I can easily (or at least, I hope so) transfer the necessary funds from my PayPal to yours. Such would obviously include the cost of both the disc and the shipping and handling.
I'm honestly still a bit new to PayPal, but assuming we're all active supporters of Mae's cause - and thus using PayPal to donate - I think this would be the best option for all those in need of the EP. If you would be so kind as to lend a hand, please drop me a PM. I'd be eternally in your debt!

Last time I tried to make a PayPal account I needed a bank issued credit card to activate it and to be able to put money in it. Those of us who use Visa and other Gift cards wouldn't be able to put any funds in their account in the first place which would rule out transferring funds from PayPal to PayPal for some of us.
But, if someone could set up something like mae's donation thing or ebay's pay with a credit card option, where you don't need a PayPal account, then I don't see why that wouldn't work. It's all just a matter of finding out shipping costs and trusting the person who you are buying the CD from.

you made the thread to answer whether or not the cd would be available elsewhere, as I was the first to explicitly offer money for a copy, I think that means I should get first dibs! Asides duck's own cause she called dibs first.... duck's own's a girl, right?

Ouch. My masculine heart is breaking.
And you can butt in, since you asked first...

I managed to get a hold of the songs though I still need to have the hard copy of the EP. I have to say that The Fisherman's Song is AMAZING. The sound, the music, how he sings it, it's just plain awesome. All 8 and a half minutes of it. My brother is really into fishing so maybe I can try to use this song to get him hooked on mae.

I'll try to remember to put the songs up on YouTube tomorrow so you all can listen to them. (As long as the guys (Dave, Jacob, and Zach) don't mind)

EP is $10. I think the hoodie is $25, but I don't remember. FYI there's a real nice "house that fire built" t-shirt for $20. All of the other merch designs are $15. There's also a $10 t-shirt bin that has a bunch of older shirt designs in it. The dude you'll want to talk to about merch at the shows is Tyler. He's a cool guy.
I hope that answered some questions.

I've been without internet all weekend, so I just caught this conversation. Last week I thought about offering to buy extra copies for you guys, but I didn't get a chance to post about it. I'm planning to be at the Northstar show May 27th. I'm ordering tickets this week as long as they're not already sold out. I think it's the 4th to last show, so I'm praying they still have cds left. If they do, I'd be completely willing to get extra ones for whoever wants to buy them and send them wherever as long as they're paid for. I can't afford to end up with extra merch, especially since I'll likely have to pay with cash (I don't know if they'll have a credit card option as in the past), so please only request me to get it if you can pay for all the costs through paypal. If someone else on the boards is going sooner and can do it, that would probably be a better option because of cd availability, but if no one else offers, I'll get them. Just send me a private message if you're interested.

I can't believe how terrible my luck is...if the Detroit show was on any date other than May 22nd I would definitely go, but I've already made plans with friends to go to the Tigers game and the casino on May 22 so I can't make it to the show. So I'll be in Detroit that night but can't see my favorite band and pick up the EP. Unreal. I might need to get in on someone buying and shipping one to me, I'll pay you handsomely.

Hi all --
Sorry to jump onto this thread so late, but...
I am really keen to get my hands on 2 copies of the new EP. I'm in Australia, so I have no way of making it to the shows. My best friend and I have loved Mae since D:B, and since her birthday is coming up, I'd love to give her a copy of the limited edition. I'm a Mae completist so I need one for my own collection too!
If anyone is willing to grab me 2 CDs I would be eternally grateful. I can transfer money via Paypal and/or send you some goodies from Australia (if there's anything you want from over here). I'll pay for postage, of course, and any extra money that is required to compensate for the time/effort.
If you can help, please PM me or email danfstapleton[at]gmail.com ...
Thanks!

I managed to get a copy of the EP! I've only been able to listen to fisherman's song so far (I started with that since that's the one I've heard the most about), and It is without a doubt the best of the year so far (I feel like a broken record, I say that after every new Mae song I hear).
